Catching Up: Events, Peppa Pig, and Pretty Things

I’ve been caught in that end-of-school timewarp where it’s suddenly 6pm, I’ve been to three “moving up” parties, eaten nothing but cold pizza, and somehow have a million unread emails. So here we are — a little catch-up, a few favorite things, and some very fun news.

What’s New at Hill House

🎆 Fourth of July Capsule

Red, white, and watercolor gingham! We launched our Fourth of July capsule this week, and it’s full of easy, summery, wearable pieces. My favorite piece is the Cosima Mini in Red Watercolor Gingham — I’ll be wearing mine with rattan platforms for Nantucket’s fireworks display. Willow will match in the Tiny Paz Set. 🐷 Our Peppa Pig Collaboration (!)

Maybe the most surprising thing we’ve ever made. My daughter Willow is absolutely obsessed with Peppa Pig, so when this opportunity came across my desk, I couldn’t possibly say no. This is the perfect collab for the little ones in your life — smocked dresses, tiny PJ sets, and a perfectly Peppa hair bow. Willow’s favorite piece is the short set. 💃 Events Capsule — Launching Tuesday 6/17

I’m weirdly emo about this one! We’re launching our first-ever collection designed specifically for events — black tie, weddings, big birthdays, all the moments you want to remember. It’s elegant, dramatic, and genuinely so wearable. There are five dresses, each made from stunning fabrics: embroidered floral organza, moiré, silk-cotton organdy. My mom wore the Marietta Dress to a wedding in Italy a few weeks ago and looked so gorgeous.

Things I’m Loving Lately

This is a deeply unedited, wildly specific list of things making me happy right now.

👶 For the Kids

• Reusable Water Balloons — My twins are wild for these. They snap back together magnetically and provide hours of fun without leaving microplastics all over our yard.

💄 Beauty

• ZIIP Beauty Dot (code NELLZIIP) — My panic button when I feel a breakout coming.

• VIO2 Mouth Tape (code NELL15) — Genuinely improves my Oura Ring sleep score. When I remember to use it before bed, I sleep better.

• Roz Milk Hair Serum — I just cut five inches off my hair (you probably can’t tell — I do this every few months), and I love this for air-drying. It gives me soft, non-frizz texture without weighing anything down.

👗 Wardrobe Things

• Chloé Top + Earrings — Two of my most-worn pieces lately. The top is perfect layered over the Margot Dress when I want to feel dressed but still comfortable.

• Ysso Homer Earrings — I keep reaching for these for dinners, meetings, or anytime I want to feel pulled together. Very cute with the Mini Cosima I wore last week.

🧺 For the Table (defrosting my tradwife personality)

• Hill House Tablecloth + Napkins — We made tableware!! I’m obsessed with both the Raspberry Ikat and the Farmer’s Market Print. I’ll use the Ikat Napkins with my new pink plates.

The Farmer’s Market Tablecloth will double as a picnic blanket for me. Spot the hidden Nantucket baskets in the Farmer’s Market print!

• Cabana Fiore Dinner Plates — The perfect soft pink. I wanted something colorful and a bit *demure* to mix with my print-heavy pieces.

• Maria Louise Cottage Gingham Napkin Rings — These feel so expensive and dramatic — they instantly elevate a tablescape.

• Carolina Irving Daughters Anna Cereal Bowl — Just bought these for Amagansett mornings.

• Aerin Freya Wicker Ice Bucket — Wicker forever. I use this all summer for hosting.

• Diane James Faux Dianthus in Mossy Terra Cotta Bowl — I know fake flowers are sacrilegious, but when they look this good, it’s art!

• Nason Moretti Twisted Glass Hurricane (or this similar one from Mecox) — I love the texture these bring to a summer table. The green is sold out, but I love the white too.

Currently Obsessed

• Romy Mars’ “A Lister” — Romy is Sofia Coppola’s daughter, and officially my favorite follow. She’s gorgeous, funny, and I’m obsessed with this song.

• Tyler Childers — He’s extremely famous and yet somehow completely new to me. I found him during a late-night TikTok scroll where suddenly an hour disappeared and I was crying to a banjo.

• Passalacqua x Assouline — I went to a dinner celebrating the new Passalacqua Lake Como book with Assouline and now I’m dying to visit the hotel. The book is stunning — it’s already on my coffee table.

• The Tonys — I loved watching this year. I’m such a theater kid at heart, and it felt like an especially good year for Broadway. The Picture of Dorian Gray was just as good as everyone says — I left the theater stunned — and Purpose is another of my absolute favorites this season. I’m also so delighted by Oh, Mary!’s big win. I saw Cole Escola at the Lortel before their Broadway run last year (extreme humble brag), and I laughed until I cried. If you haven’t seen it yet, you must.
