Goblin Hour: Weekly Wishlist
It’s been a busy (but lovely) week in New York. I had two dinners with girlfriends, which felt like such a treat. At work, we’ve been super busy: re-rolling plans for the year, navigating the ever-shifting tariff environment, and closing out Q1, which means I’m writing our quarterly investor letter (something I really enjoy, actually).
Our biggest drop of the year at Hill House is coming up in early May—always my favorite. We’re in the thick of content approvals, try-on shoots, and all the behind-the-scenes pieces that bring a launch to life.
We’re also celebrating the one-year anniversary of our Charleston store today (!!). I’ll be in town next week to celebrate—if you’re local, come say hi on Wednesday April 23rd from 2–4pm at 145 King Street!
A few things that inspired me this week:
I watched photographer Tyler Mitchell’s MasterClass on shooting portraits. I especially loved how he demonstrated shooting in natural light with an iPhone. Content creation is an integral part of my job, and I’m hoping to get better at it!
I also picked up a collection of Virginia Woolf’s diaries, on Suleika Jaouad’s recommendation (thank you, Suleika!), and I’m excited to dig in. We celebrated Passover with two seders this week—my kids loved the afikomen search—and we’re planning an Easter egg hunt this weekend. I ordered marshmallow bunny tarts from my favorite, Carissa’s Bakery in East Hampton, and they’re almost too cute to eat.
🏖️ Vacation Mood
Loewe x Paula’s Ibiza is one of my favorite drops every year. I’m obsessed with the color palettes and prints. A few of my favorites below:
• Loewe Paula’s Ibiza Printed Swimsuit - I’ll wear this as a bodysuit with a white skirt, also available in the cutest jeans
• Loewe Tomato Pouch - I dream of using this as a giant bag charm on one of my Chanel Classic Flap bags
• Loewe Embellished Bikini Top - Bikini version of the one-piece above!
• Loewe Frayed Floral Denim Shorts - I’ll shoot you straight I’m absolutely petrified of shorts but these look like they have a nice A-Line shape and I just love the print!
👠 Shoes
• Gucci Alfa Horsebit Platforms - I have some similar Gucci shoes from genuinely 10+ years ago and I wear them constantly. I love platforms and these look perfect for dresses and (my new obsession) bellbottom pants alike.
• Manolo Blahnik Leva Sandals - We bought these in three colors to shoot our e-commerce photos for Hill House this year; they looked good with every single dress and on every single model. They’re very leg-lengthening and come in such pretty colors.
• Aquazzura Sunseeker Platforms - Aquazzura does some of the best platforms on the market, and I am a professional platform wearer. I have these in so many colors and wear them all the time. Super comfortable!
• Chloé Maxime Wedge Sandals - Every year I wait for wedges to come back into style and every year I’m slighted. But I think we might be back, baby?!? Thank you Chloé. I have these and love them.
• Dolce & Gabbana Floral Espadrille Wedges - Another cutie wedge with some pretty floral fabric!
🎨 Fun Favorites
• Lioness Tidal Midi Skirt - Love this as a bathing suit cover up
• Tory Burch Stretch Mini Tennis Skirt – I’m sorry but this is objectively perfect
• Balloon Sleeve Dress - Rosie made a top in this shape since I first discovered the brand years ago, and I’m so happy to see it back in dress form! I love how flattering the off-the-shoulder neck is, and the navy is so pretty too.
• Venus Top - Rosie forever. She doesn’t miss!
• Chloé High-Rise Straight Jeans - I was lucky enough to attend the Chloé fashion show in Paris in September — a full dream. These pants were styled with some gorgeous lacy tops and looked so elevated-boho chic. I love to do a bit of a Victoria Beckham moment with wide-leg jeans and pair them with enormous platforms.
• Pucci Marmo Mini Skirt - Pucci skirt + one-piece swim suit + strappy sandals + fun jewelry = dream summer vacation look.
🌀 Attersee Finds I’m Eyeing
Attersee knows tailoring like no one on the market. They just released a new collection and these are all in my cart.
• Band Top in Silk Basket Weave - Very fun, I’d love to style this with a big ballgown skirt for something festive this summer.
• Halter Bodysuit in Black - I love a halter and I love a bodysuit - no fussy tucking-in with a skirt. I like how this neckline is sort-of sporty — cute to dress down a hyper-feminine skirt (and you know I have plenty of those…)
• Sarong Skirt in Navy - I’m very into a slim skirt silhouette for summer, and I love this shape — so flattering.
• Mini Dress in Silk Linen Slub - I have a similar shape from Attersee in black and velvet, and I wear it all the time. I’ve seen this fabric in person on the Founder, Isabel (who also happens to be my best friend, full disclosure lol), and it’s SO luxe. I love the grain.
• The Artist Jacket in Indigo - Same fabric as the dress above, love this with one of my girly Hill House dresses as a bit of a foil.
• Zip-Up Cardigan in Navy - Such a pretty shape and color.
🧵 High Street Finds I’ve Bought and Worn
I’ve purchased and worn all of these over the last month and really like them!!!
• Massimo Dutti Wide-Leg Jeans - If you know me, you know I have emotional issues with pants. I also am going through an extreme pants phase right now — I’ve always said I have strong opinions, loosely held. I’m very into Massimo Dutti! These have a gorgeous oversized fit in a nice dark denim. Perfect for pairing with a flirty going-out-top.
• Massimo Dutti White Jeans - Have and love these, fab fit
• Zara Top with Ruffled Straps - Extreme Chloé vibes, so gorgeous with a high-waist pant or the matching skirt.
• Zara Heavyweight Satin Pants - I wear these low on the waist with a super girly top and platforms. I love the fit and the shine.
• Mango Floral Jeans – Pink - I would have worn these every day in high school. J’adore!!!
🕶️ Accessories I’m Obsessed With
• Jacques Marie Mage Alin Square-Frame Sunglasses - I bought these for my husband for his birthday last year and steal them frequently. Super expensive but they really look it in person - the craftsmanship and materials are insane.
• Jacques Marie Mage Monarch Butterfly Sunglasses - I got these last week and absolutely die for them. They are extreme Italian diva energy, enormous shades with the prettiest gold detailing.
Let me know what you’re loving—or what’s haunting your cart this week.
xo,
Nell
Ordered that Attersee dress yesterday and the raffia top and gold skirt. Isabel is doing an incredible job
